This Is More Like It

We woke up to a beautiful sunny Sunday morning with a fresh blanket of snow, and since I got the shaft at the beach the day before, and I was out of coffee, we jumped in the car, hit Starbucks, and took a cruise down to the water. The waves were still sizable but the there was no wind at all.

The first pic is rather inconspicuous until you consider that the concrete jetty thing is probably 15 feet tall from the surface of the water, and then see the wave rolling up behind it. I could take pictures of waves all day.





Near this beach a river flows into the ocean. There are pretty tall levies along the river with a service road along the top, which is open to the public. We stumbled upon the entrance to this road and took it all the way back to our town. There are no traffic lights, no traffic, and beautiful views of the mountains. It's how I'll be getting to the beach from now on.
