It's All Falling Into Place

In a sure sign that spring is nigh, flooding of the rice paddies has begun. Over the past few weeks, every evening when we come home from work or where ever it was we were, more and more of the local paddies have been tilled during the day. Now more and more of them will be full of water.

This is one of those scarily wonderful/satisfying high points in the ebb and flow of happiness that life seems to be. Wonderul and satisfying because nothing is wrong and many things are in fact great; scary because there really is no place to go but down. This thought always seems to occur to me when I'm really happy and content with my life. I don't regard it as a depressing thought by any means. Rather, it always reminds me to enjoy this particular wave of goodness while it lasts. So that's what I'm doing.

Spring is the air people.
